What Is Bubble Hash?

At its core, bubble hash is simply a highly concentrated collection of trichomes—the tiny, mushroom-shaped glands on the cannabis plant where cannabinoids (like THC) and terpenes are produced.

Solventless: Unlike concentrates made with butane or propane, bubble hash requires no chemicals.

Potency & Purity: Potency varies based on the starting material, often ranging from 30% to 60% THC. The highest-quality product leaves virtually no residue when smoked.”Star” System:

Bubble hash is commonly graded on a 1–6 star scale. “Full melt” (5- to 6-star) is the highest quality with 95%+ pure resin heads, suitable for dabbing. Lower grades are ideal for edibles, bowl-toppers, or pressing into rosin.

How It’s Made:
The process relies on cold temperatures, which make the resin glands brittle, and gentle agitation, which causes them to detach from the plant matter.

The Mix: Frozen cannabis material and ice are added to a bucket of water.

Agitation: The mixture is stirred or agitated (manually or via a washing machine) to break the brittle trichome heads off the plant matter.

Filtration: The liquid is drained through a series of “bubble bags” (mesh bags with specific micron sizes, such as \(220\mu m\), \(120\mu m\), \(73\mu m\), and \(25\mu m\)).

Collection & Drying: The trichomes are caught in the fine mesh screens, collected, and carefully air-dried to prevent mold.

How to Consume It
Because bubble hash is so versatile, it can be consumed in several ways:
Sprinkled in Flower: Crumble it into a bowl, joint, or blunt to increase potency and flavor.
Vaporized/Dabbed: High-melt (5- and 6-star) bubble hash can be dabbed on a rig or vaporized in specific concentrate pens.
Edibles: Because the material is concentrated, it can be infused directly into oils for baking.
